APACC hosted this global business networking event, APACC East – West Business Connection, on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Westin Book Cadillac, Detroit. The event sponsors are FedEx Express, JPMorgan Chase and Miller Canfield. The guest speaker is Mr. Tony Brown, Ford Motor Company Senior Vice President, Global Purchasing.

The event provided the opportunity to introduce Michigan–based companies to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) World Congress and Asian American businesses with the objective of facilitating business discussions and exploring growth opportunities. The invited delegations include: China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam. The evening began with a networking reception and buffet dinner followed by a match making (business to business) roundtable dialogue with major U.S. OEMs, Tier 1 & 2 companies, Asian delegates, MBEs and APACC members.
