APACC Entrepreneurial Educational Series “Thriving in Uncertain Times with Cultural Competence Seminar”, February 18, 2009

This educational seminar focused on how businesses and organizations can effectively communicate and build relationships with Asian companies and Asians by understanding cultural differences.

The focus countries were China, India and Japan. Presentations of each country covered the socio-economic and cultural drivers that assist businesses in building relationships with Asians and Asian companies. An open forum followed the presentations for our audience to ask questions regarding their cultural challenges they are facing.

The speakers are business experts who worked in Asia and counseled businesses on cultural issues. The presenters are: Naren Balasubramaniam, Advisor, Global Crosswalk, Inc. and Vice President of Human Resources, Henry Ford Health System, Shotaro Nakahama, Executive Director, Japan Business Society of Detroit and ShiaoFong Yin, President, a.Mobius Manufacturing Solutions, LLC.
